Suspected thief apprehended at street market
A student is suspected of stealing from vendors at the Dorp Street Sunday market in Stellenbosch. SAPS confirmed opening a case after eyewitness Raaiq Schroeder reported observing the theft. The suspect, seen frequently at markets, was confronted by stall operators after theft was detected, with evidence including a student card photo and possession of stolen items. Security services and SAPS responded to the incident.
