Comic book and anime fans – including the Stellenbosch University anime society – attended this year’s Comic Con festival in Cape Town. The five day festival was hosted at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 27 April to 1 May. Comic Con Cape Town and Comic Con Johannesburg “are the only Comic Con’s in Africa, but are already proving to be the fastest growing Comic Con’s in the world”, stated Sascha Polkey, owner of Rabbit in a Hat Communications, in a press release for Comic Con.
