Students protest for academic boycott of Israel

Members of Student Action for Palestine gathered at Stellenbosch University’s (SU) Rooiplein on 2 May to hand in a memorandum to the rectorate of SU, requesting an academic boycott of Israel. This is according to Malaika Ngwenya, a law student at SU, and member of Student Action for Palestine, a movement that supports Palestinian justice and liberation. Usuf Chikte, coordinator of the Palestine Solidarity Alliance, along with other activists, addressed the group of people who joined the protest.
