The Stellenbosch University (SU) Big Band introduced Pascal Haas, from Munich University, as their new conductor at the Endler auditorium in an evening of jazz on 11 May. The concert formed part of the Endler Prestige Concert series, and featured the Sun Quintet as part of the evening’s line-up, according to Courtney Sampson, SU Jazz Band social media manager. The performance’s repertoire included compositions from German and South African musicians, and the concert’s programme was curated by Ramon Alexander of the SU jazz department.
